Science for Disaster Risk Management 2017: Knowing better and losing less
The EU Disaster Risk Management Knowledge Centre has produced its first flagship science report addressing the multi-risk impacts of natural and human-induced hazards. It presents the state of science in Disaster Risk Management (DRM), and shows practical use of scientific knowledge in DRM actions in Europe.
It is the first in a series and therefore comprehensive in scope but selective in topic. It shows posibilites to strengthen society’s resilience by using science and technology.
