Opportunities and challenges offered by ICT will be showcased through:

  • Select experiences of Swiss establishments that have ‘gone digital’ in their partnership with institutions in low and middle income countries, and which will highlight their use of digital systems in support of evidence-informed policy making and the role of access and control of information; and
  • Presentations by professionals representing different disciplines and working in varied geographical contexts, underlining existing obstacles presented by as well as potential risks of using digital ICT.

These examples will guide reflections on how to harness the potential of ‘digitalization’ and what approaches may emerge as most promising to successfully integrate ICT tools in research and education partnerships.
