At the end of 2015, the 196 parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) adopted the Paris Agreement - the world’s first comprehensive climate accord. This agreement commits all countries, developed and developing, to take ambitious action to limit global warming to well below two degree Celsius. It also recognizes that the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) need financial and technical support to achieve their climate goals.
